Everyone needs a little help now and then. IFM distributes nutritious food to Nevada County residents who are struggling to make ends meet. We are located at 440 Henderson Street, GV, and open every M-W-F from 10 am - 1 pm, and every Saturday from 10am - Noon.
Each individual or family may receive food once
EVERY OTHER week
. This means a family can visit any day they choose, M, W, F, or Sa and that counts as their visit for the week. Then they must skip one week of M, W, F, or Sat Distribution Days, and then they can return on any day the following week.
This schedule may be changed on occasion to accommodate special holidays. This information will be posted in advance so that you may schedule your visit.
Since the COVID Pandemic began in March 2020, IFM's distributions have gone to completely drive through.

Welcome to Interfaith Food Ministry!
Interfaith Food Ministry (IFM) is operated by volunteers from IFM member churches and the community. All of the food is donated by local grocery stores and purchased by IFM with most funds donated by the member churches, individuals, organizations and businesses from the community. IFM also applies for and receives grant funding to purchase food and operate its programs.
What you need to do in order to become a client of IFM:
1. Show us an ID that includes your photo and name.
2. Residency can be established by producing a current rental agreement, mortgage statement, business statement (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, etc.) or current utility bill (AT&T, NID, PG&E, Waste Management, propane, etc.) that is addressed to the client or any of their dependents at their physical address. If you do not have a residence, you are still eligible to receive food. Please let us know at check in.
3. Agree to abide by our “Good Neighbor Requirements.”
It is a privilege to be able to give and receive food at IFM. You are in danger of losing that privilege if you do not follow these guidelines:
- Treat all people kindly and respectfully, no harsh language or rude behavior (even if you are being treated unkindly).
- Stay in the drive through line and be patient. The volunteers inside are busy packing your food.
- Place garbage in trash receptacles.
- DO NOT block the street entrances to Beam Easy Living Center. Follow the traffic controller's directions.
- Arrive at IFM no earlier than 9:00 a.m.
- No smoking anywhere on the IFM premises or in the parking lot.
You must agree to abide by the IFM Good Neighbor Requirements and know that if they are not followed you may not receive food from IFM.
Currently you may receive food once EVERY OTHER week.
